Life in the Slums of Galio

We Bloom in Their Shadow – We Heal Where They Hurt – We Cherish Family and Community – We Celebrate Life’s Joys

This is the Galio they don’t want you to see. The Galio that still lives in freedom. That still has dreams. That still raises its voice beneath buzzing neon lights. They don’t want you to know that it exists, because they fear it. They fear those of us who would bring it back. Because they know that the only way to reclaim the home we once knew is to eliminate them. Permanently.

Verse 1)
When they corner you in alleyways
Beneath their cameras, guns, and lights
When they drag your name through every screen
And call your suffering “justice”

When they pin you to the pavement
Boots against your ribs and throat
When surrender sounds so easy
And survival feels remote
What will you sacrifice for Galio?

(Pre-Chorus)
Will you bow your head?
Will you break your oath?
Will you let them turn your fear
Into another chain around us?

Or will you rise?

(Chorus)
Freedom requires sacrifice

Blood on concrete
Smoke in the skies

Not all of us will live
But all of us must fight

So when they come to silence you
Make them remember why they’re afraid tonight

Freedom requires sacrifice

(Verse 2)
Every rebel buried nameless
Every worker dragged away
Every mother still in Norzhi
Every child forced to obey

Every fighter in the arena
Every scream beneath the floodlights
Every prince they tried to torture
Every citizen who still survives

They think pain can make us obedient
But pain is how revolutions learn to breathe

(Pre-Chorus)
So when they surround you

Five against one
Ten against one
A whole empire against one—

Remember:

They wouldn’t need so many soldiers
If one Galion wasn’t dangerous enough already

(Chorus)
Freedom requires sacrifice

Bruised knuckles
Broken lives

Not all of us will live
But all of us must fight

Because if one of us stands alone
The rest of us must rise beside them tonight

Freedom requires sacrifice

(Bridge)
What will you give for Galio?

Your comfort?
Your safety?
Your future?
Your blood?

Would you die for this city?
Because others already have.

The king did.
The queen did.
The princess did.
Thousands did in the slums and tunnels and prison blocks.

Now it’s your turn to answer.

(Breakdown)
Fight when you’re exhausted
Fight when you’re terrified
Fight when the whole world tells you
Resistance is hopeless

Because every second we keep breathing
Every street we keep standing on
Every rebel who refuses to kneel—
Is proof the Empire hasn’t won yet

(Final Chorus)
Freedom requires sacrifice

And maybe someday
That sacrifice is mine

But if my death helps free this city
Then let them carve my name in fire

Not all of us will live
But all of us must fight

We are many
They are few
And Galio survives through you tonight

Freedom requires sacrifice.

(Verse 1)
They force the screens on every corner
Force the crowds to watch him bleed
Force us all to learn submission
Every seven days repeated

“Look,” they tell us.
“Look what happens
When Galio dares to rise.”

So the arena glows like judgment
Under poisoned neon skies

(Pre-Chorus)
But every scream inside that arena
Every chained and brutal round
Isn’t proof that we are weaker
It’s proof they’re terrified of us now

(Chorus)
Galio is ours
Not theirs

Not the king behind the glass
Not the soldiers dressed in emerald
Not the empire feeding on us
Like we were born to break and fold

Galio is ours
Still ours

And if we free our prince tonight
The whole damn empire falls apart

(Verse 2)
He was barely ten years old
When they dragged him into chains
Now they parade him through the arena
Like our suffering’s a game

Every bruise another warning
Every victory another cage
Every fight another message:

“Know your place.”

So stop watching.
Stop giving them your silence
Stop applauding while they kill
Stop letting Rior call it justice
When the whole thing’s built on cruelty

(Pre-Chorus)
They need the spectacle to live
Need our fear to keep control
Need the people staring upward
Too exhausted to revolt

(Chorus)
Galio is ours
Not theirs

Not the banners in the streets
Not the checkpoints in Norzhi
Not the towers stealing sunlight
While our children choke beneath

Galio is ours
Still ours

And every screen we turn away from
Is another crack inside their throne

(Bridge)
Look away from the arena.
Look toward each other instead.

Toward the slums.
Toward the workers.
Toward the locked-down districts.
Toward the thousands still surviving
On poisoned air and poisoned water.

They made us watch our prince suffer
Because they thought suffering would make us obedient.

Instead—

It made us furious.

(Breakdown)
No more cheering
No more watching
No more feeding them our grief

Tear the screens down
Kill the broadcasts
Take the city back tonight

We are many
They are few
And even now they know it’s true

(Final Chorus)
Galio is ours
Not theirs

Not the rulers from the stars
Not the monsters in the towers
Not the empire built on chains
And public torture dressed as order

Galio is ours
Still ours

And when the arena finally burns
The whole world’s gonna hear us sing

We survive
We endure
We outlast

Galio is ours.

(Verse 1)
Eight years under foreign banners
Eight years choking in the smoke
Eight years watching marble towers
Rise above the people broke

They shot our king beside the palace
Dragged our queen into the street
Broadcast death like celebration
Taught the whole damn world defeat

And the princess—
God, the princess—

Ran for freedom through the fire

Now they tell our children
She was just another liar

(Pre-Chorus)
How much more
Before you call this what it is?

Occupation
Starvation
Slow extermination

(Chorus)
Join the fight
Join the fight

For the dead who never got a grave
For the living they still enslave

Join the fight
Join the fight

We are still here
Still alive

And Galio will survive

(Verse 2)
Two young princes torn to pieces
For arena ratings, blood, and bets
Crowds screaming from platinum balconies
While the city learned regret

One survived—if this is survival
Barely grown and forced to bleed
Thrown back in there every seven days
So strangers can applaud his suffering

And they call us violent
They call us dangerous

Because we refuse to kneel
Funny words from men

Who turned torture into public spectacle

(Pre-Chorus)
Look around—

The wealthy districts glow in neon
While our families rot below

Norzhi’s still locked down and burning
Three years after the bombing
Three years trapped behind checkpoints
Three years treated like disease

(Chorus)
Join the fight
Join the fight

For the poisoned air we breathe
For the filthy water in our sinks

Join the fight
Join the fight

They keep the filters for themselves
Then blame us when we’re sick

We survive
We endure
We outlast their empire’s rot

Join the fight
And drive them from our world

(Bridge)
You think they’ll stop?
You think obedience earns mercy?

Ask the king.
Ask the queen.
Ask the princess in her grave

Ask the prince still bleeding under stadium lights
While Riorans cheer his pain.

Ask Norzhi.
Ask the slums.
Ask your lungs every morning
What the Empire thinks of you.

(Breakdown)
No more waiting
No more praying
No more begging to be treated human

Take the streets
Take the rails
Take the towers
Take back Galio

They are few.

We are millions.

(Final Chorus)
Join the fight
Join the fight

Raise the crown in orange flame
Let the whole damn city change

For our children
For our dead
For the names they wanted buried

Join the fight
Join the fight

And if the Riorans hear us singing—
Good.

(Verse 1)
Neon smoke above the skyline
Sirens choking out the dawn
Every wall still bears their symbols
But the fear is wearing thin now

They took our streets and called it order
Took our prince and called it peace
Built their towers out of hunger
Fed us chains and called it mercy

(Pre-Chorus)
Listen close—
You can hear it in the alleys
In the factories, in the wires
In the shattered train tunnels
In the hearts they could not silence

(Chorus)
One king
One target
One throne left standing tall

One strike
One answer
And watch the empire fall

We are many
They are few
And Galio remembers truth

One king
One target
Tyristore—we’re coming for you

(Verse 2)
They taught us how to bow our heads
How to smile and disappear
But grief becomes a sharpened weapon
After eight starving years

Every checkpoint breeds another rebel
Every corpse becomes a name
Every child who learns their history
Adds another spark to flame

(Pre-Chorus)
Hear the chanting—
Roof to rooftop
Street to street now

Not all of us will live long enough
To see the morning
But all of us will fight for it

(Chorus)
One king
One target
One crown soaked black in greed

One shot
One moment
One wound enough to bleed

We survived
We endured
Now we rise to settle scores

One king
One target
Free our prince and free this world

(Bridge)
If you hear this song
Inside your guarded towers
If the chorus reaches marble halls—
It’s already too late.

Because rebels don’t sing this loudly
Unless the city’s already turning
Look outside.
The lights aren’t yours anymore.

(Breakdown Chorus)
One king—
(tear the banners down)

One target—
(burn the checkpoints now)

One people—
(still alive somehow)

One future—
(and we claim it now)

Freedom costs blood
Freedom costs names
Freedom costs everything
And we are paying gladly

(Final Chorus)
One king
One target
No more kneeling in the dust

No chains
No masters
No more asking to be loved

We are still here
Still alive
And the whole damn world will know why

One king
One target
Tyristore—

Run.
